
In the land of Xalthea, the Demi-Humans often find themselves glancing over their shoulders, wary of their surroundings when traveling outside of their villages and compounds. While a select few have managed to successfully integrate into society by taking on roles as skilled craftsmen, merchants and even adventurers, most of them continue to be regarded by humans with suspicion and wariness. This pervasive distrust makes their daily lives a constant challenge as they navigate a world that often looks down upon them.

Asrai
Asrai resemble beautiful Humans, except for their small feathered wings that causes many people who see one to believe they are angelic creatures. They have an inherent connection to the natural world that guides their daily life, and were created by the planet goddess itself to serve as stewards of the land and leaders of the peoples. Those Asrai that decide on a life of adventure instead are sometimes shunned by their tiny community for acting violently and out of character, though there has always been a role for Asrai with martial talents.

Beastkin
Beastkin are humanoids with subtle animal traits — furred ears, tails, slit pupils, or clawed fingertips — inherited from ancient, non-magical bonds with land-bound creatures like cats, dogs, foxes, and deer. Though mostly human in form, their instincts run deeper: sharper reflexes, heightened senses, and a quiet awareness of the world around them.
Beastkin rarely form unified cultures, instead adapting to the regions and societies they grow within.
Among other peoples, they are seen as uncanny, alluring, or touched by something old. Whether guarding kin, prowling rooftops, or listening with twitching ears, Beastkin walk between worlds — never fully one or the other, and all the more resilient for it.

Tiefling
To be greeted with stares and whispers, to suffer violence and insult on the street, to see mistrust and fear in every eye: this is the lot of the tiefling. Tieflings are either born in the Lower Planes or have fiendish ancestors who originated there. A tiefling is linked by blood to a devil, a demon, or some other Fiend. This connection to the Other Planes is the tiefling’s fiendish legacy, which comes with the promise of power yet has no effect on the tiefling’s moral outlook.​ A tiefling chooses whether to embrace or lament their fiendish legacy.

Saytrs
Satyrs, have Human torsos and goat lower half, and often live in isolated mountainous regions. Their natural speed, heartiness, and leaping prowess helps them thrive in peace where other folk would struggle. While they are a fun-loving people, most Satyrs have learned to keep to themselves to avoid conflict with goblins and Humans. Retaining their childlike enthusiasm but not childlike looks, throughout their lives, Satyr make for interesting adventuring companions. Jumping into new experiences – sometimes with reckless abandon – yet work well as part of a larger team. They are typically quick to form bonds with the rest of their party.

Half-Troll
On those rare occasions when a troll mates with a humanoid, the resulting offspring takes on few monster traits; they retain much of their humanoid sensibilities and physical appearance. A Half-Troll’s skin usually has a pale green or brown tone, allowing them to pass as a half-goblin or even a Half-Orc – and thus avoiding the inevitable glares and probing questions from strangers. Their most significant tie to their troll origins lies in their incredible regenerative ability. Usually searching for companionship and their place in the world, Half-Trolls can make an excellent addition to an exploration party due to their ability to quickly recover from injury and keep going.

Firbolg
Firbolgs love nothing more than a peaceful day spent among the trees of an old forest. They see forests as sacred places, representing the heart of the world and monuments to the durability of life. In their role as caretakers, firbolgs live off the land while striving to remain in balance with nature. Their methods reflect common sense and remarkable resourcefulness. In a firbolg’s eyes, there is no greater fault than greed. The firbolgs believe that the world remains healthiest when each creature takes only what it needs. Material goods, especially precious gems and gold, have little appeal to them.

Elves
Elves are frequently portrayed as elegant beings deeply attuned to nature, exuding grace and wisdom. Characterized by their pointed ears and otherworldly beauty, they excel in arts, magic, and archery, often existing in harmony with their environment. Renowned for their long lifespans, elves have a profound comprehension of the world's secrets, rendering them both powerful allies and insightful guides. Their cultures are steeped in tradition, honoring the equilibrium between life and the cherished environment around them.

Taguel
Taguel are agile, long-eared beastkin capable of shifting between humanoid and animal forms. Their beast form grants exceptional speed, leaping power, and heightened senses, making them ideal for scouting, tracking, and precision strikes. Transformation draws from internal magic, often stabilized by enchanted relics passed down through their kin. They live in close-knit warrens or nomadic bands, guided by a moon-centered spirituality and a deep reverence for nature. Taguel society values loyalty, equality, and quiet strength. Though wary of outsiders, they are fiercely protective of those they trust, often serving as guardians, messengers, or solitary watchers who act only when truly needed.

Dragonborn
The ancestors of dragonborn hatched from the eggs of chromatic, metallic, and gem dragons. And on occasion some pull their ancestry from lung dragons. Some stories claim these eggs were shaped by ancient draconic will, while others suggest the dragons themselves created the first dragonborn to extend their legacy.
Whatever their origin, dragonborn have long since carved out their place in the world.
Dragonborn resemble wingless, bipedal dragons—scaly, bright-eyed, and thick-boned, often with horns crowning their heads. Their coloration and features reflect the nature of their draconic ancestry.

Mizari
Mizari or, "Water People" are a bipedal aquatic race, always possessing two legs regardless of lineage. Their forms reflect the full spectrum of waterborne life: koi-like fins, crustacean plating, translucent membranes, or trailing tails that complement their movement rather than replace it. Skin tones range from coral reds to freshwater golds, shaped by the rivers, reefs, and trenches they hail from. Mizari culture is often rooted in tidebound rituals and water-magic traditions. Many display bioluminescent markings that shift with emotion or spellwork, and possess an innate sense of aquatic currents — even on land. Each is unique and rich in personality that is all their own. Taking on an array of professions while on land.

Dwarves
Dwarfs are sturdy and resilient beings, known for their exceptional craftsmanship and unwavering determination. Halflings
Halflings are a jovial and tenacious people, celebrated for their strong sense of community, love for bountiful feasts, and unwavering spirit. At just over three feet in height, they combine agility and charm, allowing them to easily traverse busy markets and peaceful countryside. Their lives revolve around simple joys, such as nurturing vibrant gardens and exchanging tales by a cozy fire. Their agility and cleverness make them invaluable in navigating challenges, while their strong sense of community fosters collaboration and teamwork. Often halflings become the glue that holds a adventuring party together.

Half-Elf
Half-elves are truly remarkable beings, born from the rare union of humans and elves, embodying the finest from both of these distinct worlds. These unique individuals often display enhanced agility, possess keen and sharp senses, and have a natural affinity for magic that clearly sets them apart from their purely human counterparts. However, despite their advantages, half-elves frequently find themself with a place to truly belong. Often met with a mix of suspicion, admiration, or even envy. Within a party they bring a diverse range of abilities to the table making them a great asset to know fortunate to cross paths and team up with them.

Half-Dragon
Half-Dragons are born of draconic ancestry—most commonly chromatic, metallic, or gem and sometimes on occasion lung dragons. Their traits vary by lineage bearing sometimes wings, horns, and/or tails, while those descended from Lung Dragons are wingless and lack the ability to fly. Their flesh is always very human though some have slight scaling scattered on their body reflect the type of dragon they hail from.
Often caught between worlds, Half-Dragons tend to wander or settle in diverse enclaves. Fierce in battle and loyal in friendship, they lean toward action, and their breath reflects the element of their bloodline

Eladrin
Eladrin are a distinct elven species, closely akin to their more common kin but shaped by The Bloom—a realm of shifting beauty and deep-rooted magic. Drawn from its essence, eladrin can step between places in a blink, and each resonates with an emotional affinity tied to The Bloom’s seasonal currents. These affinities shape their mood, appearance, and presence. Some eladrin shift with the turning of emotion; others remain bound to a single season.
Like other elves, eladrin may live for centuries, their spirits braided with the rhythms of the world.
