Getting Started​

While this is a server that encourages newer players to learn the ropes of RP, this is still a Roleplay server. 

​

• You must be In-Character at all times while on the server, the exception to that being your private rental or the landing zone.

• OOC Chatter, while in your private rental, should be kept to direct private messages.

• "Summon without Witness" is rated as a adult region even though our roleplay focus is not focused on such content. That being said no children. All players and avatars must appear 18 years or older.

• Flying is allowed as long as your character has wings, the only exceptions to this is the lung dragon.  Hovering at a constant level ( ie hovers instead of walks), no vertical gain is fine.

• Magic and Dash Huds should be kept to a minimum and  make sense for your character if they are used to enhance rp. Just because a hud has something doesn't mean it makes sense to use it.

Code of Conduct​ (major)

Disrespect toward the community, and more importantly toward any member of the community (staff or player) is considered a bannable offense. Length of the ban can be temporary or permanent.  We are all adults lets treat each other with respect. Roleplay is consensual if you do not wish to interact with someone excuse yourself and move on.

 

Disrespect includes, but is not limited to:

• Talking bad about other players RP or skill level
  (even on other mediums like Twitch, other Discords, etc.)

• Harassing another player OOC for decisions made IC

• Demanding something from another person OOC

• Resurgence has ZERO Tolerance Policy  for the following, Sexism, Racism, Homophobia, Other Prejudices are strictly disallowed out-of-character and sould never be use IC  as a OOC Jab. You don't have to like everyone but you also do not have to voice it.

 

In Character Actions = In Character Consequences

Avoiding the consequences of your actions is a 2 point offence.

It is never ok to  be the villain, or commit offences against others  but hide from from the storm that follows be it by rerolling, leaving sim, or simply shelving a character​

Dress code

Avatars must be adult no underage looking avatars.

Wear what makes sense for your character and setting.

Avis must match the species chosen during setup

​

• Modern Clothing, only be viable for 1 outfit, if the person is a "Summoned Otherworlder".

•  Semi-Modern styles influenced by styles seen in the Isekai fantasy/medieval genres of anime. (Confirm with Owner - examples)

• Medieval

• Edo (Any Asian equivalent)

• Victorian

• Fantasy

• Nudity is fine, but be prepared for the attention wanted and unwanted it may draw. This is a city, society has its standards.

Disallowed

• Latex and overly synthetic materials are not allowed.

• Cyberpunk Attire is not allowed.

• No Cell-shaded avatars, game rips, or avatars that look like they were pulled straight from a cartoon.  Details are king, pores etc. Anime Heads are fine.

• No mega body parts this includes:

  • Gentalia ( example: if you tits are larger than your entire, or dick is as big as your thigh, placid, to big.)

  • Obsurd bodybuilder bodies.

 

While we have anime influences we do strive for realistic Avatars everywhere we can.

Other

• Monster, with allowed demi forms should resemble one of the existing Demi-human races the point is to blend in that suits traits from their true form, default demi form is elf or half elf with the occasional dwarf or halfing is height is applicable.

  •  A onirai, could make possibly a Tiefling, Asrai (if it has feathered wings), human, elf, half-elf, and possibly even a half-dragon... just depends on traits their true form, possesses.​

    • Magic users can use magic to alter appearance to other forms but must be illusion based and thus inspectable. and must share a similar limb arrangement. This means for example, a humanoid cannot use magic (Spell: Disguise Self) to look like a quadruped Hellhound.  and any added things such as a hat, or a tail, etcetera do not hold up to inspection.

• Furry avatars are allowed within reason they must be appropriate for said species and should not be overly cartoony, they should have some sense of realistic detail to their texture, colors, and proportions. ​​

Guidelines 

Meta-Gaming (major)

Information obtained from outside the game (OOC), should never be used in active roleplay this means:

​

• Discord calls and messages

• OOC chats and private messages

• Anything not said, seen, or written while on the server

• Using the nameplate above one’s head to identify their name

​

All of the above can be considered metagaming.

​

• This also includes information not provided through the other person's role play such as scent.

 

Use roleplay to determine who someone is if you do not recognize them or if they are “disguised”.

Power-Gaming | God-modding (major)

Power-gaming is defined as abusing or using game-built mechanics or roleplay concepts to give your character an unfair advantage that they would not normally have. The term is often used interchangeably with god-modding.

​

Though power-gaming is much more, it is also taking the choice away from another character.

 

Any action you perform on another player’s character should always be an attempt. (example: /me attempts to grab the boy by the neck.)​ You cannot just instantly grab them. 

 

Re-rolling a New Character

 If you choose to Reroll your character, you’re choosing to give up everything you have and start anew. This includes your current story and any position you may have previously had. (mayor, commander, any title of stature).

• Shelving a character purely to avoid consequences of roleplay can be considered Roleplay avoidance and may be treated as such.

• Your new character cannot know anything about the activities of your previous character in these lands as they were not both present for such (Even if they are related)

Species Change

​

The only species changes that will happen is a human transitioning Curseborn. No other species changes will be allowed, start a new character.

​

Alternate Accounts

• Alternate characters are allowed, but they must be portrayed with a totally different appearances names and information, they must be different races and cannot know each other.

​

Resurrection Roleplay

• Resurrection Roleplay, while possible comes with a price and would require a resurrection pact made in advance with a powerful entity, the price of such a pact, should be costly to your character in the long run. 

 

Value Your Life | right to life ​

Value the Character’s life as if it was your own. Your character should not do things that would seem nigh impossible on a whim, unless their they type, ya know?

 

Examples (But not limited to)

• If you are a lone human, surrounded by a pack of wolves, you should fear for your life, the wolves are hungry and will likely take a chunk with them when they depart.

  • Solution: Seek ally's to protect you!

• No invincible characters - if a character concept allows you to disregard the concept of valuing your life with no consequences, it will not be allowed.

​

Death in Resurgence while only applicable if you accept it.  Right to life does not excuse you from ICC (In Character Consequences). While you may not die, you can be severely wounded, and in need of a healer. Roleplay your recovery with others it helps create story over a few days. ​​​

Guild Quests

 

Guild Members should put their guild ID in their profile picks.

 

Generic quests should preferably never be done in the city. am exception to this would be a real-time emergency quest. A band of goblins actively ransacking the harbor would not be ignored just because it's in the city.

A Named Quests may be carried out anywhere.

​

Hunts

Hunts within the city should not happen without evidence and Adventurer Guild authorization. some monsters are sly. Others may become familiars to adventurers or citizens, in such a case they would have the same protections as any other resident.

KOS - “Kill on Sight”

• No KOS allowed. You need to portray your aggressive roleplay with the person before engaging in any hostile dice combat. This heavily applies to thieves, hunters, outlaws, and the like.

 

KOS Exception* Below is the only exception to the above. 

An active war/raid area is a Kill on Sight area. If you are a bystander and walk into a active raid or clan war, you are now open to KoS.

Captives and Hostages

• Unless agreed upon by OOC, captives taken in RP may only be held for a total of 20 minutes without roleplay before a scenario must be played out that leads to the victim's release / escape.​

​

• A player may not be held in captivity for longer than a 48 hour maximum, under any circumstances. Unless agreed upon by all parties involved. Talk it out people.

Rentals

 Rental homes are also safe zones. Players pay to rent these homes with real L$, and so have a right to safety in their homes. If you rent a home, this does not mean you have permission to Rez objects outside of your Rental, even if you’re not passed your Rez Limit. Temporary rezzing is acceptable as long as they are cleaned up at the end of a scene

Rentals should not be entered without permission from the renter with the exception of those rentals that double as a IC business such as those within the human village. 

​

Never rez objects within another rental without explicit permission from the renter. The objects will count against their land impact allotment

​

Manor House are for families are Locked and can be rented by request if being rented for 3+ tenants

By Renting here you agree to the following:

​

• Adhere to Linden Labs TOS

• Adhere to Server Rules at all times

• Rentals are 2$L per 1 Li

• You may not sublet for L$ but you may allow others sim members to live at your property for free.

              ✔ Guests are expected to adhere to server rules as well a Linden Labs ToS 

• Refunds are made at server owner's discretion but rent is plunged directly into the Sim Tier and thus refunds are unlikely,

• No breedables

• No animesh pets are permitted in excess. 1 is acceptable

• No OOC Chatter in local chat.

• No Dancers/Clickers/Music (unless in scene.)

• No gestures on the roleplay floor.

• No high scripted furniture:
  Example: Anything above 1500Memory

All objects found to exceed your allowed land impact will be returned, without warning. Resurgence is not responsible for any no copy or lost items due to returning of objects for exceeding land impact, or eviction due to your rental being overdue.​​
